SE EU FOSSE UM GRANDE GIGANTE

When observing a trail of ants, a boy compares himself to them and feels very big. More than big, huge: a great giant! And, motivated by his imagination, he begins to think that giants are capable of many things that are impossible for ordinary people, such as caressing the clouds, talking to the moon or hugging the mountains...
 
But maybe they feel very alone sometimes, and wish they were small like children.
 
If I were a big giant explores, in a poetic and surprising way, children's imagination and idealization of the world of adults. The boy realizes that he is huge compared to the insect, even though he is tiny compared to mountains or ships, which in turn are small for a giant. The simple structure of the text encourages the reader to repeat the initial sentences, but be surprised at each turn of the page by the unusual desires of a gentle, generous and supportive giant. 
 
With few colors, lines and free brushstrokes, the giant's body and the elements of nature are integrated, further reinforcing the poetry of the text.
