During a car ride with their father, Lara and Thomas discover an injured fawn by the side of the road. They bring the little deer home and soon nickname him Lion—a name that reflects his brave, strong, and gentle spirit.
As the days pass, Lion gradually helps fill the emptiness left by the loss of the children's mother. But as the young deer grows, he begins to long for the forest where he truly belongs. Lara and Thomas, however, aren't ready to say goodbye... again.
