PROCURA-SE CAROLINA
Carolina is a girl who doesn't like reading. One day, he discovers by chance, in the school library, a box of books by Carolina Maria de Jesus. Stimulated by coincidence (her name is the same as the author), Carolina takes the box home and begins the great adventure of reading about the writer.
Excited, she writes a diary, inspired by the diaries of Carolina Maria de Jesus, to tell her discoveries about her.
The text encourages the reader to seek to know more about the author's work and life, through the girl's eyes and curiosity.
As a black author, the intention of Otávio Jr. is to show young readers, in an agile and intriguing text, the great legacy of the black writer for Brazilian culture.
There is no intention of writing biographies or profiles: the purpose is to encourage research into the life and work of the “character”, offering “books of discoveries” that leave gaps for the reader to seek more information after reading.
