When walking through the streets, first thing in the morning, a girl is disconcerted when she realizes that there is something strange about every person she meets along the way: at the bus stop, in the park, on the streets, at school, in the cafeteria... “There are a lot of strange people walking around, haven't you noticed?”, she questions, asking the reader. As soon as she arrives home, her feeling of strangeness disappears and she feels safe and comfortable with her parents. And his mother assures him that his family is no different. But is that really the case?
The strangeness that the illustrations provoke in the reader dialogues with the character's questions about understanding the diversity of people who inhabit the world that surrounds her. Everyday scenes are represented by serious characters, but with unusual appearance and gestures, encouraging the child to develop a perspective on themselves and others, those who are different, those who are not like them.
