OBRIGADO
Bridge with imaginary worlds, the book opens into a narrative: a book is found by a boy. When you open it, the world of languages opens up. He reads and reads himself at the same time.
Poems dialogue with poets, their lives, works and styles. The most relevant themes of each poet run through the poems and illustrations as evocation and homage, and, at the same time, as autobiographical petals of the reader and creator André.
Lyrical, fanciful, tender, disconcerting images, curious stories take us to the essence of each poet's life and work, filtered through the careful lens of the author, who parades, in a kind of gallery, possible imaginary children without there being any infantilization.
The illustrations, privileged by the format of the book, jump off the pages like the skin of the poem itself, where we feel them, synesthetically. Even though images do not depend on the text to achieve meaning, nor does the text of the image (each is sufficient), together, however, they gain a state of completeness. Like a kaleidoscope. An atlas that points out multiple directions. A visual dictionary in which the images are organized according to the particular criteria with which each poet draws the verse, unique, unique, with only two permanences: all the illustrations feature children and books.
