When Christmas time arrives, Santa Claus isn't the only one tearing his hair out with so many tasks. The Postman also works double time to deliver all the good wishes and well wishes - and some gifts too.

In this book he visits some traditional fairy tale characters to deliver Christmas mail to them - the bears receive a postcard from Goldilocks; Little Red Riding Hood wins a card with a board game from the Big Bad Wolf; Humpty Dumpty receives a card with a puzzle sent by the King's Knights; the Gingerbread Man is presented with an almanac and a book of wisdom; and even the Big Bad Wolf, another one who loves Christmas, was visited by our friend.

But the Postman's big task at this time of year - how come no one stopped to think about it? - is to help the Noel family itself, getting thousands of children's orders to their factory. So, he also stops by, to leave his letters, and also get a gift, which the postman also deserves.

By following the story of the Postman, children find envelopes filled with letters, cards and little gifts - such as games and books - and learn to maintain an ancient tradition that, even with the advancement of contacts via telephone and especially electronic correspondence, will never lose its function.
