O ESTRANHO CASO DO SONO PERDIDO
One of the most well-known and respected journalists in the country, Míriam Leitão continues to practice her side as a fiction writer and storyteller for children. In The Strange Case of Lost Sleep, her fourth children's book by Rocco, she narrates the adventure of a girl and her grandmother through the world of sleep with a humorous and imaginative text, illustrated by Fran Junqueira. In Míriam Leitão's book, it is the granddaughter who is going to tell her grandmother a bedtime story, and she is not at all like the grandmothers of old, but a modern woman, with a busy schedule of meetings and trips.
On one of these trips, between one appointment and another, the grandmother goes to sleep at her granddaughter's house, who lives in another city, and after reading some stories, she can't find her sleeping pill. Willing to help her grandmother find her sleep – “Grandma, why can't you sleep with your own sleep?” asks the granddaughter, curious – the girl invites her grandmother to embark on a journey through the world of sleep, which must be somewhere within the imagination.
But just like the ability to sleep, the grandmother lost her imagination a long time ago! It's up to her, and the readers, to hold hands with her granddaughter and let herself be carried away. And what they discover in the world of sleep and dreams will forever remain in their hearts, day and night.
