A child's fear played by the winner of the Hans Christian Andersen Prize, Anthony Browne.
In In the Forest, the author and illustrator addresses some childhood anxieties, such as leaving one's parents and facing the unknown. References to fairy tales are everywhere: in the crossing of the forest to his grandmother's house, in the characters that the boy meets along the way, in the details of the illustrations. A story of familiarity and estrangement, of fear and courage, of search and encounter.
