Lili has only one birthday wish: a pet tree. She promises her father she'll take good care of it with plenty of sunshine and fresh water. But she has no idea how much her unusual new companion will transform the entire neighborhood.
Jorge is Lili's new pet tree. Riding together through the city in a wheelbarrow, the two friends explore their surroundings, meeting neighbors and animals who happily stop to rest in Jorge's shade—after all, he's the only tree on the street.
