MILHÕES DE GATOS

The first edition of Millions of Cats dates from 1928. The book, written and illustrated by the American Wanda Gág, is one of the hundred best picture books of all time, according to the prestigious academic magazine School Library Jornal (SLJ), as well as the oldest publication of the genre still in print in the United States.
In 1929, it received the Newbery Honor Book mention from the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC), a division of the American Library Association (ALA). In 1958, the story of a very old man, a very old woman and hundreds, thousands, millions and billions and trillions of cats was awarded the Lewis Carroll Shelf Award by the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Education. In 2017, the book was included in the Picture Book Hall of Fame by the American Booksellers Association (ABA), in the Indie category.
 
This is the first time that this masterpiece of literature for children has been released in Brazil.
 
Age range
 
Aimed at children in the literacy phase or already literate, between 5 and 7 years old, which does not prevent reading from being fun and recommended for younger children, who read the texts and images shared with an adult. Or even for us, who are much bigger!
