Antarctica is the last continent that is wild, remote and full of fascinating landscapes, but it is still affected by our actions around the world. Penguins, whales, seals and birds are some of the creatures that live there. Along with 99 other female scientists, Anna Cabré traveled to the site to investigate the climate emergency and encourage changes that could slow the accelerated melting of ice.
 
Mommy goes to Antarctica introduces young readers to a little about this different continent, about the icebergs, the animals that live there and the importance of keeping that territory preserved. The book inspires us to work for a fair and sustainable world, where we, humans and animals, can live in harmony: “If we form generations that love the Earth, they will certainly want to take care of it”, says the author.
