When she was just a little girl living in Pakistan, Malala's greatest wish was to have a magic pencil. But when her right to education was put in danger by men who believed girls shouldn't go to school, Malala realized that the society she lived in needed immediate change. Only then was she able to face great obstacles until she found within herself the strength and tools necessary to change the world.

In her first children's book, the Pakistani girl, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, returns to her own childhood to present her story to young readers and inspire a new generation to break the silence to transform the world into a better place.
