Macacocote is a funny monkey. He read so many adventure books that he thinks he was born to be a hero. His friend Porco Panza is the one who saves him from the fights and other troubles he gets into.
In addition to being funny, Macacote is very romantic. When he saw Macaqueia singing on top of the coconut tree, his heart skipped a beat. I told her I wanted to protect her. “Protect from what?” asked Macaqueia. You'll know. But Macacote sees danger everywhere.
Based on Don Quixote, by Cervantes, Macacote and Porco Panza is more than an adaptation: it is, rather, a reinterpretation of the universal classic. The Spanish author's amazing imagination combined with the Brazilian author's modern grace. Of course it had to work.
