Prickly John is the meanest and nastiest hedgehog in the Dark Forest. He loves to be bad, he loves to sharpen his thorns and go around scaring and mocking all the animals. One day, however, Thorny John begins to lose his valuable thorns. The first suddenly fell to the kitchen floor. The second, in the living room. One after another until Thorny John was naked – spineless – and pink as a marshmallow. And now, what will João do with his life, since he has only learned to be bad and unpleasant? Adorably evil Thorny John invites us to discover the value of kindness and empathy. He reminds us that even though we have thorns, being good and friendly to others is the best way to be well with ourselves.
