JEREMIAS DESENHA UM MONSTRO
Jeremiah is a lonely boy who, from the isolation of his room, watches other children playing in the street. One day, he draws a monster... that comes to life! But Jeremiah doesn't even have time to enjoy his new company: the creature turns out to be quite bossy, he doesn't stop bothering the boy with countless demands that must be met immediately. Instead of ending his loneliness, the little cartoonist finds himself faced with a problem: how to get rid of such an annoying monster?
The book Jeremias draws a monster, by North American author Peter McCarty, released by Globinho in Brazil, tells this story that embarks on children's imagination, in which nothing is impossible: Jeremias' drawings instantly transform into real things, and he faces this with naturalness.
Jeremiah just cannot face the unacceptable behavior of the spoiled and self-centered monster, characteristics with which many young readers tend to identify. In a fun way, the book deals with this aspect of behavior, showing children (and also many adults) the impossibility of living in the real world without respect for others. A lesson in socialization, filled with humor and drawings with the artistic touch of McCarty, an award-winning illustrator.
