There are things that we start to learn from an early age. Sharing what is ours is one of them, as the girl in this book knows. Between one "it's mine" and another "not for you", she begins to discover the advantages of having someone to share the toys with - and also the good and bad times that lie ahead.

Sharing things is not always easy, especially for young children. This is the difficulty faced by the girl in this story, which makes it very clear to the reader: the doll is hers and no one else's! After all, she deserves more than other people... But is that really true? In this very well designed dialogue between character and reader, what becomes evident in the end is that being selfish leads to nothing. Thus, the task of sharing the toy - which was previously so difficult - becomes enjoyable and, even better: it leads to a new friendship.
