In the first part, this book presents a tale of Munduruku culture. "The boy who didn't know how to dream" talks about Kaxi, a boy like any other, except for the fact that the shaman chose him as his successor. To be initiated into the secrets of shamanism, the shaman teaches you that you need to dream, because in dreams lie the great mysteries of life. Here, perhaps for the first time in Brazil, indigenous culture is presented from the point of view of one of its members. Then, the author relates with good humor his experiences in the "white world" and comments on the situation of indigenous peoples in Brazil. The edition includes drawings by indigenous children and photos of Munduruku villages.
