Lara and her mother have a secret. When they are faced with a challenging question, they wear their special necklaces and become Yes Warriors. After all, no matter what anyone says: if there is a question hanging in the air, it is possible to look for the answer, yes!
This time, they will not rest until they find the answer to a giant flea behind Lara's ear. She heard from someone at school that everyone is equal, but that simple statement doesn't sound good to the girl. Together, mother and daughter come up with a plan and go looking for answers to the question: are we all the same or different?
Written by activist Luana Génot, founder of the Instituto Identidades do Brasil, and with illustrations by Letícia Moreno, Guerreiras do Sim is a sensitive and educational children's book that addresses the differences that surround us ― such as origin, color, gender, ethnicity and family constitution ― with the aim of generating debate between children and guardians about diversity.
As the author states, when answered honestly, questions can start deep conversations and help build a better future!
