ESPERANDO A CHUVA

It hasn't rained in months. The house, the yard, and the streets are dry and covered in dust. Hoping for relief, a young girl waits patiently for the rain.
From her front doorstep, she watches the neighborhood go by: a truck delivers firewood, a water barrel brings fresh water to the families, and the tailor mends their clothes. The day continues with helping her mother around the house, taking a bath, and sitting down for dinner.
Then, at last, the sky begins to darken, and a strong wind announces that the long-awaited rain is finally on its way.
