ERA UMA VEZ OUTRA VEZ
Once upon a time, there was Edith Chacon, a teacher and writer of books for children and young people who always liked reading, writing and playing with words and rhymes.
Another time, she met Priscilla Ballarin, visual artist and educator at Atelier Amar.é.linha and the collective Wishes Urbanos, who also joined in on the fun and, together, they started making a lot of mischief.
From this meeting, Era once again was born, a gamebook that contains an illustrated poem. Its leaves are loose and folded in an accordion shape. Each side of the page corresponds to a stanza of the poem. The work offers countless possibilities for interacting with the book object and reading the poem, including the creation of new rhymes for the same animals, the manipulation of the book as an object, the creation of new verses for other animals, following the same syntactic structure or the reorganization of the pages for a new reading of the poem.
Playful from beginning to end — without beginning or end — this book is, above all, an invitation to play.
Come and play with us too!
