Based on her experience as a non-violent communication (NCV) and conscious communication consultant, parental educator and mother of two children, Elisama Santos proposes a conversation with fathers and mothers who want to build relationships and learning based on respect and dialogue – and want to stimulate self-esteem, autonomy, self-discipline and resilience in themselves and their children. The idea is that the process of building knowledge becomes positive when it occurs through empathy and critical reflection.

Non-violent education is an alternative to the authoritarian culture that justifies the use of violence and repression as an educational method. Here we seek paths towards a more supportive and understanding education, believing that it is possible to educate children with conscience, so that the next generations can reap the fruits of a more loving and fair world.
