Fear sometimes paralyzes us, and to overcome it requires courage and determination – but it can generate good surprises. This is what Emicida tells, through verses, in his second children's book.

A girl is afraid of the dark. When night comes, worry and anxiety come: after all, what can the dark hide? What she doesn't even imagine is that, on the other side, the darkness is also a girl – whose greatest fear is light, and all kinds of things that reveal themselves when the sun rises.

Throughout these pages, illustrated by Aldo Fabrini, the two girls will discover that facing their own fears can – who knew? –, transform us inside and out.
