CRIANÇAS DO BRASIL

This book brings together 27 childhood stories, 27 ways of seeing the world, 27 portraits of Brazil. The lives of Brazilians from the interior and the capital, the beach and the forest, their struggles and their dreams for the future. With it, the reader is invited to discover the universe of boys and girls from the four corners of the country. The stories presented here were collected from the collection of the Museu da Pessoa and worked on by the writer José Santos, who transformed them into retellings. Each retelling is accompanied by three short informative texts. One of them explains the destiny taken by each character, while the other two address questions about history, geography, ecology, politics, economics and other researched issues – depending on the focus chosen by José Santos.
