Every day a boy goes to a tree to hang from its branches, eat its apples and rest under its shade. The boy loves the tree; and she, happily, loves him too. However, as time passes, the boy grows up and begins to desire more than the simple company of his friend to play and rest. He starts to want money, a house, a wife... And the tree, without many resources to help him but willing to do anything to make him happy, gradually falls apart, showing that, for the love of the boy, he can give up his own life.
