Rhymed and humorous verses, with colorful and vibrant illustrations by indigenous artist Kássia Borges, transform the reader into a VIP guest at this fun party.
Presentation
Taking inspiration from strings, Maranhão author Wilson Marques tells the story of Dona Onça and Coelho. She wants to make him her dinner, and to do so she invites him to a wild party in her den. The rabbit, who is nothing like a fool and is suspicious of the guinea fowl's intentions, invites all the animals to join the party. After all, unity is strength! To Dona Onça's surprise, the cururu, the giant anteater, the agouti, the tapir, Dona Cobra and many other animals arrive quickly to eat, drink and chat. It remains to be seen which plan will work – whether the jaguar will dance or whether the rabbit will end up in its belly. Furthermore, at the end of the book there are interesting facts about the animals that appear in the narrative.
