A CARTA DE MOUSSA
Can an entire village fit on a single sheet of paper? In this charming work, which surprises with its sensitivity, we will discover the place where Moussa lives, under his eyes, under the eyes of Mariama and that of many other children from Thille Boubacar, in Senegal.
Presentation:
A piece of paper that came with the wind gives Moussa the idea of drawing a drawing for his father who is far away living in another country, so the boy wants to help him remember things, people and places in his village. But how can he draw the "thump-thump!" that you hear when couscous is being prepared or the "nhec-nhec!" from the well pulley? And the taste of pepper that he loves?
Moussa has so much to tell..., but his village doesn't fit on a single sheet of paper. Roser Rimbau's simple poetic prose gains even more life with the illustrations by Rocío Araya, who had the delightful challenge of integrating cutouts of drawings made by children from the Thille Boubacar district into his work.
