À SOMBRA DA MANGUEIRA
$13.00Price
This book of African stories was born in a circle of narrators and listeners, formed by the artist Angelo Abu and students from the NGO Hakumana, in Maputo, Mozambique, who met for several mornings in the shade of a leafy mango tree, around stories from the country's traditional repertoire and the images that each story produced.
It can be read and heard, in the striking accent of Maputo Portuguese, alternating with speeches in the region's original languages, Changana and Ronga.
It is also a book about the enchanted place of narration, occupied, without any ceremony, by each child, with their different ways of narrating and telling the world.
